The month of December was spent revisiting rust in the master stateroom (Nate started the sand blasting in November) and Jeanne and I continued that work into December. We also sand blasted the steerage area which is under the outside rear deck and houses the rudder shafts, horns and ram.  The seals on both rudder shafts were allowed to leak and there was extensive rust that needed to be removed.  Access was very limited and it took a long time to sand blast and paint this area.
